The city of Cape Girardeau is moving forward in its search for a new director for its Parks and Recreation Department. Dan Muser, who was director for 21 years, retired March 11.
City manager Scott Meyer told me yesterday that they received about 80 applicants by last week's deadline. City staff is sifting through those applications.
